Sometimes, real life delivers a love story that feels more cinematic than anything Hollywood could script.
That’s certainly true for Lori Kruczek Boye and Andy Boye, whose chance meeting proves that life’s greatest adventures can begin when and where you least expect them.
The two longtime Marriott Vacation Club Owners, both widowed after decades of marriage, met while traveling on a Collette guided tour through France.
What began as a friendly conversation over dinner in Versailles, and an impromptu adventure through the island village of Mont-Saint-Michel, eventually led to an engagement overlooking Italy’s Amalfi Coast on a separate trip with the same tour company, all booked via their ownership.
“After our spouses passed, we had resigned ourselves to a life by ourselves,” Lori said.
“We were both very independent and capable people. We just never realized that a person we met on our travels might end up being a person with whom we would spend the rest of our lives.”
Today, the couple is settling into a new home after celebrating their honeymoon on a Mediterranean tour from Barcelona through southern France to Tuscany.
